Look!!! Andersons!!!!!

So, I bet some of you might be wondering what those Anderson kids look like.  I know some of you will see them this weekend at the wedding - and I want to make sure you know who you are looking at!!!!!!  I finally found my new camera - yikes - and when I looked at the pics, I found Christmas pictures - which seemed irrelevant at this point, at least for the short post I have planned - and not much else, except for the pics I took this weekend.

This is mostly for my fave sister-in-law, who I know is bored at work!!!!!

100_0425

Cam, at my best friend Mel's daughter's birthday party.  It was a bug/butterfly theme - hence the antennae.  The spaced out look can only be blamed on Mallett genes.

100_0429

Cam and the birthday girl, Kennady.

100_0449

Wrigley and the birthday girl's brother, Owen - one of Cam's best buddies.

My beautiful - if not always photogenic - son at an impromptu park trip on Saturday night.  The second picture is his "cheese" smiling face.  Most the time I just try to catch him with a pleasant look on his face.  He he.

My gorgeous daughter - who is 2 going on 12.  But sweet as can be.  One of my favorite things about my kids is that they have totally different colored eyes (Cam's are dark and a pretty brown/green/hazel sort of mix, and Wrigley's are a piercing blue, kind of like my dad), but they both have very beautiful eyes.  They seemed to have inherited my bug eyes.

A sweet moment caught today, at the Manus abode during Food and Fellowship.

Wrigley modeling her adorable Chinese dress that was a Christmas present from Aunt Nancy in Cali.  She, um, kind of likes having her picture taken . . .

There you go!!

"With my last breath, I spit at thee."

So, now I reveal myself as an irreconcilable nerd.  That was my little tribute to Ricardo Maltoban.  And if you know what movie that quote came from, you'll know why I'm a big nerd.

Speaking of quotes, here's this week's awesome Camden quote.

"Mommy, I didn't know milk came from cows.  What kind of drink do we get from horses??"

Nothing you would want to drink, sweetie.

Young Women's Winter Study

Just a note in case any of you out there are thinking about coming to the Winter Study, or know someone who is - PLEASE RSVP!!!!!!  We have not gotten very many responses, and we would really love to know who all is coming.  The address to reply to is smartroadcoc@gmail.com.  Thank you!!!!

In other news, here are a few pictures from the last few weeks.

On a carousel horse at Silver Dollar City.

100_0283

In Santa's sleigh at Silver Dollar City.  Which, by the way, today Cam informed me that he thought we needed a sleigh.  "Momma - we should get a sleigh.  A big one, like Santa's.  Wouldn't that be fun??"  Yeah . . .

These two cuties were seen at church on Sunday.

Be happy you can't see the green snot that has been flowing out of their noses since Friday.  We're a whole houseful of snifflies.

Merry Christmas!!!

Actual Pictures. Shocking.

Well, so here I am.  I know.  The last post was Halloween, I figured I should get on here and update.  And I have pictures.  Unfortunately, I have recently acquired a new camera, and some of my pictures (like the Halloween pictures) are on my old camera.  So you are only going to get pics from the day after Thanksgiving on!!  I'll catch the rest up later.

100_0001

In the car, on the way out to Dodge City to visit my Grandma Mallett's family for Thanksgiving.  It was a wonderful trip, we saw lots of family we hadn't seen in years.  My whole fam went, which is pretty impressive.

100_0105

I love her baby face.

100_0112

One of Wrigley's newest tricks - forward rolls.  We just enrolled in gymnastics, and she love love loves it!!!

100_0114

Her other new trick - taking her clothes off.  Apparently she is thinking she wants to potty train.  So I right now am trying to potty train two toddlers at the same time.  Never a dull moment.

100_0117

Grandma and Grandpa got us a hotel with a pool - very awesome, especially for Wrigley.

100_0141

Everyone got in - Em, Tara and Adam made a special trip to Walmart for swimming duds, and Hannah borrowed from Andy!!

100_0144

Cam is not nearly as excited about the water as Wre.  He's much more excited about Grammy and snuggling with her.

100_0149

After church on Sunday, we all had lunch with my great aunt and uncle before leaving.  Cam looooves sitting by Papa!!!

100_0152

I think she was concentrating on dessert. . .

100_0154

I'm not sure what this was all about.  Probably, "Mommy, take my picture so I can see."

100_0156

Yeah, she's drinking creamer.

100_0164

This is a picture of what is left of the farm that my Grandma Mallett grew up on.  The house was burned down deliberately a few years back, because it was hazardous.  It was really fun to go see this, and meant a lot to us.  There was a particular fascination with the tumbleweed.  It's like a whole other world out there!!!!!

100_0167

Here is the windmill that Adam claims he is going to move from Lewis, Kansas into his backyard.  Good luck.

100_0174

This is the school my grandma attended, in Lewis.

100_0177

This is the old Church of Christ in Lewis, which is now out of use.  It reminded us of Vandalia, just a little bit.

100_0181

As we were leaving Lewis, a train went by with all these tanks on it.  VERRRRRYYYYY cool!!!!

100_0183

Cam and Wrigley comparing s/p shakers at McDonalds somewhere in KS.

100_0191

Excited about their apple pies.

100_0193

It was kind of a cool McD's, with a fireplace.  It was snowing outside, so that was a very welcome heat source!!

100_0198

Hannah tried to get them both out of motion at the same time.

100_0202

As Adam said - some people take pictures in front of national monuments, we take pictures in McDonalds.  Go figure.

If you didn't know, I did my first ever craft show with my friend Mel this past Saturday.  It was really fun - maybe not as sucessful as we hoped, but so exciting!!!!!  Here are pictures of our booth.

100_0203

100_0204

100_0205

100_0206

I made the tutus, as well as the totes that are in the baskets on the table, and then jumpers that are on the back display and the ladder.  My friend Mel - who you can see in the third picture - made the aprons, the barrettes, nursing covers, and bibs and burp cloths.  It was so fun, and we are really looking into expanding and trying again.  We have a website and are just so excited about the possibilities!!!

100_0208

Too cute.  I'm going to be sad when her hair isn't that color anymore.

100_0212

Sunday we went and helped my mom put up her Christmas tree, like we do every year.  Cam was all into helping this year.

100_0219

Wrigley was all into riding the horse, as she usually is.  Apparently this time as an Oregon Ducks fan.

100_0223

Cam, demonstrating the literal meaning of stockings.

100_0239

This is Adam's Santa that he made long ago, probably in about 2nd grade.  It goes up on the tree every year, and is only slightly less hilarious than the piece of bread Emily puts up every year.  Can we say mold?????

100_0240

Wrigley was pretty excited about dessert.

100_0245

Monday we went to see Santa at Crown Center.  I don't have a picture of the actual event, b/c I was holding Wrigley on my lap, sitting next to Santa myself.  The picture they took is hilarious, though, just like last year.  Love it.  Here is Wrigley not so patiently waiting, wearing one of the tutus I made.  I also made her shirt.

100_0262

I made Cam's shirt too.  Standing in front of the EBT Santa, leftover from the old department store from the 30s.

100_0263

Andy holding Wrigley and Mel's daughter Kennady, also wearing a tutu I made.  Kennady will be two in March, but she is bigger than my little smidgen Wre!!!

100_0267

We had to make a visit to Daddy's work while we were down at Crown Center.  The kids are working hard.

100_0268

On the way back to the car, we got ice cream.  Cam is wearing his hat from Fritz's.  They each got their own ice cream - a big deal!!!!

100_0271

Mayor's Christmas Tree, from through the window.

100_0276

We went to Aunt Hannah's concert Monday night, and Cam and Wre were blinded by the performance.

100_0280

Aunt Hannah, in her last Christmas concert at LSHS!!!

Hope that helped catch you all up!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Well, in case you haven't heard, the Andersons will be departing this evening (after a whirlwind trick-or-treating tour of Lee's Summit and Pleasant Hill) for St. Louis!!!  Unfortunately, we will be leaving pretty late, so keep us in your prayers as we travel.

I just pulled some homemade bread out of the oven . . . Do you think it should make the trek eastward with us???  Hmmmm .. . .

Oh, and I saw this commercial today, and absolutely loved it.  So hilarious.  Go watch it.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30DewN99MIQ
